Kids embark on a treasure hunt adventure around their home, completing tasks and collecting clues to find the hidden treasure. Along the way, they learn about the values of ChuckieR through fun activities.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Printable Treasure Map: A colorful map with marked locations and a path for the treasure hunt.
- Cut-out Clues: Clues with riddles or instructions for finding the next location.
- Task Cards: Cards with different tasks or housework activities for the kids to complete.
- Treasure Cards: Optional, cards representing the hidden treasure.
- Timer: Optional, to add excitement and challenge.
HOW IT WORKS
Setup:
- Parents prepare the treasure map by printing it and marking the starting point and treasure location.
- Cut out the clues and hide them in various locations around the house.
- Shuffle the task cards and place them face-down near the starting point.
- Place the treasure cards at the treasure location.
Getting Started:
- Gather the kids and present them with the treasure map, explaining that they are going on an exciting treasure hunt adventure.
- Read the first clue aloud, providing hints if needed, and let the kids begin their search for the first clue.
Completing the task:
- When the kids find a clue, they follow the instructions on it to reach the next location.
- At each location, they discover a task card and read it aloud.
- The task card will have a simple housework activity or a helpful task that the kids need to complete before moving on.
- Examples of tasks: Cleaning their toys, setting the table, watering plants, organizing their books, or tidying their room.
- Once the kids complete the task, they collect the next clue hidden at that location.
- They continue following the clues and completing tasks until they reach the treasure location.
Finding the Treasure:
- When the kids reach the treasure location, they uncover the reward - which mommy can choose to customize.
- Celebrate their success and discuss the values they learned throughout the treasure hunt.
Additional Game Enhancements:
- Timer Challenge: Set a time limit for completing each task or the entire treasure hunt, adding a sense of urgency and excitement.
- Rewards: Consider providing small rewards or treats along the way for completing tasks or finding clues.
